NY NOW Autumn 2018
The Market for Handmade + New + Home + Lifestyle
10 – 14 August 2019
New York, USA

Welcome to the German Pavilion!

NY NOW is the comprehensive market for gift, home, lifestyle and handmade products organized into a cohesive mix of top brands and emerging companies whose products will meet all criteria for what’s new and on-trend.

The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) in cooperation with the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) are once again supporting a German group participation, giving nearly 16 companies the opportunity to present their excellent products and to offer their renowned services to key players and decision makers from all over the world. The German IVSH – Association of the German Cutlery and Houseware Industry and the German Crafts Association (BK) are the initiating associations for the German presentation. They are accompanying the German delegation and will be providing professional advice on-site at the official German information booth.

This forum is used in particular by export-oriented small and medium-sized companies to demonstrate their capabilities within the framework of a joint company exhibition. This is a great opportunity for all present participants and visitors of NY NOW Summer 2018 to establish contacts or intensify existing business relations.

The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) and the supporting association IVSH and BK wish all participants a successful show and extend a warm welcome to all visitors of the German presentation at Level 1 booth number 7761 and Level 3 1145 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center New York.

The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) decides on, and supports, official participations in the Federal Republic of Germany's international trade fairs and exhibition programme. In addition to policy and budgetary issues, the active involvement in the presentation of Germany at international fairs and exhibitions is of prime importance. In a constant dialogue with private-sector partners, the division for international / national trade fairs and exhibitions of the ministry backs the export activities of German industry on international markets.

Furthermore, the "fairs and exhibitions division" is concerned with planning and implementing German participation in world expositions abroad and with major political issues regarding fairs and exhibitions in Germany.

The Association of the German Trade Fair Industry, AUMA, represents the interests of the trade fair industry on a national and international level in dealings with parliament, ministries, authorities and other organisations.

The association organises the official German trade fair programme abroad in close cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and the Ministry of Consumer Protection, Food and Agriculture.

As part of this programme, the Federal Government provides financial assistance for German participations at foreign events, but also for independent presentations by German industry abroad.
